At 21 days, Hong Kong quarantine is the world’s longest
Since December 25, all overseas arrivals into HK have to quarantine in designated hotels for 21 days (up from 14 days). This is now the world’s longest COVID-related quarantine. Only people coming in from China, Macau and Taiwan continue to have home quarantine for 14 days.
Before boarding, you will be asked to provide proof of a room reservation in any of the designated hotels for at least 21 nights. Failing to do so will be refused to board the flight.
Once you arrive in Hong Kong, there is designated transport picking you up at the Hong Kong airport and you will be sent directly to the designated hotel that you have reserved. There are 5 routes for designated transportation services, covering Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and New Territories daily from 2pm to 11pm.
Find more information and understand the whole procedure on the government website.

Quarantine in Hong Kong: How it works
Currently due to the COVID-19 pandemic, only Hong Kong residents are allowed entry into Hong Kong SAR. Those who are allowed entry are subject to screening, testing and a 21-day mandatory quarantine upon arrival.
Find more information about quarantine procedures for arrivals on the government website.
Please note that the variations in prices are for the different types of rooms available. Pricing and availability change without notice constantly so we advice you to get in touch with the hotels directly.
Also, keep in mind to disclose to the hotel that the purpose of your stay is to complete your 21-day quarantine. All designated hotels can only receive travelers arriving in Hong Kong from countries outside China who are subject to compulsory quarantine. It is always best to contact the hotels beforehand to make sure there will be rooms available to you.
Finally, when selecting your hotel for quarantine, remember to take into account that you will have to confine in a room for 21 days (up from 14 days previously). Room size, view and amenities will matter a lot and will have a drastic impact on your mental health.
